Privacy Policy

Updated November 3, 2026

This policy describes how Malone Adult Basketball League, Malone, New York, uses information through MaloneAdultBasketball.com and its Facebook Page publishing integration.

Information we use

We use information you or your captain provide when requesting an account, registering teams and rosters, contacting the league, or submitting scores. This can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, team memberships, jersey numbers, requested roles and divisions, registration notes, payment-status records, uploaded scoresheets, game participation, statistics, and referee feedback. Account records also include password hashes, approval status, permissions and sign-in information. Please do not put sensitive personal information in public announcements or scoresheet photos.

Why we use it

We use these records to administer accounts and teams, review registrations, schedule games and officials, record payments, read and review scoresheets, publish results and statistics, communicate league notices, and maintain the security and reliability of the website. League emails can include account notices, assignments, game updates and messages selected by the Director.

Public and restricted information

Team names, player names and jersey numbers, schedules, assigned referee names, published game results, statistics and announcements may be publicly displayed and retained in season archives. Contact details, account credentials and unpublished administration records are restricted to authorized league personnel according to their access. Referee feedback has separate access restrictions. Public messages and images may also be shared on the league’s Facebook Page.

Facebook / Meta integration

The league’s Meta app, “Malone Adult Basketball League,” lets authorized administrators publish league messages and images to the connected Facebook Page. The integration uses a Page identifier and an access token stored on the server. It stores returned post identifiers, posting status, timestamps and limited error information to track publication and prevent duplicate posts. It is not used to collect visitors’ Facebook friends lists or private messages. League website accounts use the league’s own sign-in system. Meta processes information on Facebook under its own policies. Removing a website announcement does not automatically remove its Facebook post.

Service providers and shared officials

Hosting and email providers process information needed to run the website and deliver messages. When AI scoresheet reading is requested, scoresheet images and relevant game or roster information are sent to the configured AI service (OpenAI or the league’s configured extraction provider) to prepare draft statistics for review. Shared officiating tools exchange relevant game and assignment details with Ken Cring CYO to coordinate officials across both leagues. Access is limited by role.

Website traffic analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on public pages to understand visits, popular pages, referring websites and campaigns, device/browser information and approximate geographic usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes usage information through Google. We do not install this analytics tag on the private league dashboard, sign-in portal or scheduling studio, and we do not intentionally send account contact details or private referee feedback to Analytics. Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in our website tag. Analytics reports are estimates and may omit visits when tracking is blocked.

Cookies and browser storage

The website uses session cookies, optional remembered-sign-in cookies and browser storage to support sign-in, security and website features. Hosting services may record request information such as IP addresses and browser details for operation and security. You may clear browser storage or decline remembered sign-in; disabling essential cookies can prevent account features from working.

Retention and your choices

League records are kept for active operations, season history, financial administration, security and resolving disputes. We review correction and deletion requests individually; some records may need to be retained for these purposes or applicable requirements. Copies in backups may remain until those backups are replaced. Publicly shared copies outside our control may remain available.

To ask about your information, correct a record, request deletion, or discuss league email preferences, contact Director Merrill McKee at merrill.mckee78@gmail.com. See our data deletion instructions. We may verify your identity before changing private records. We do not sell personal information.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as league services change. The revision date appears above. Questions may be sent to merrill.mckee78@gmail.com.
